This week, Seal Beach experienced its fifth bank robbery of the year. Wachovia Bank has been hit 4 times and Washington Mutual was robbed once. The suspect for the Washington Mutual robbery was arrested in February, but the others remain at large.
The Seal Beach Police Department reported that on Tuesday, 10/13/09, the Wachovia Bank at 13962 Seal Beach Blvd was robbed at about noon. This same branch was also robbed on 1/26/09 and the descriptions of the suspects are pretty similar.
In both of these robberies, the suspects were described as white males, 5’6’ tall. The suspect for the January 26 robbery was described as 35 years old, while the age of this week’s robber was put at 30-35 years. The estimated weights were also similar, with the 10/12/09 criminal’s weight estimated at 175. The weight for the suspect for the January robbery was set at 160.
