Don Piper, author of 90 Minutes in Heaven is speaking this weekend at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. He shares a spectacular story of being declared dead after his small car was struck by an 18 wheeler and details the 90 minutes he spent in Heaven.
Piper recounts in the book that he wanted to stay in Heaven because it was so wonderful but God returned him to life to spread Christ’s message of salvation, and hope. He describes heaven as a marvelous place and not something to be feared.
Piper has written four books which will be available at the event. He appears Friday and Saturday evenings, January 27th and 28th at 7:30 PM. Good Shepherd Presbyterian church is located at 11600 Los Alamitos Blvd.
Tickets are $20. The event is hosted by two local charities: We Care of Los Alamitos, and Rising TIDE of Long Beach, beneficiaries of the net proceeds.
We Care is a family resource center and food pantry, and Rising TIDE is a free afterschool program providing one-on-one help with homework, reading, other educational help, and recreational activities. Don Piper also donates his speaking stipend to charity.
