This past week we have seen some good surf and weather. With the exception of the high winds and rain on Wednesday we have had some excellent February beach weather. The surf forecast remains in the 3-5 foot range into next Monday so it’s shaping up to be a busy holiday weekend at the beach.
After a long process of talking with and receiving repair bids from boat builders and repair shops, the rescue boat has been delivered to the repair shop. The boat has some dry rot, a small leak in the hull, cracks in the fiberglass, and a number of other deficiencies that will be repaired.
The yard we selected had the lowest bid for the work and they have experience in the type of vessel we have. We are expecting the work to take four to six weeks and we look forward to having the boat back in service for Spring Break.
