On Sunday, January 22, 2012 Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the congregation’s chartering. It was on Sunday, January 21, 1962 that Good Shepherd became a congregation in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

On Sunday, January 22, 2012 the church will celebrate this anniversary with a party in the gym that will run from 9:45 a.m. to noon that day. A formal Anniversary Dinner is also in the works. This celebration will include a delicious meal at the Eagle's Nest (at the Navy Golf Course at the east end of Los Alamitos), a reunion of former pastors, and representatives from the community. The target date for this is February 26th beginning at 5:00 p.m.
