SEAL BEACH, Calif., January 9, 2012, – On December 20, 2011, Century National Properties sold The Shops at Rossmoor to CPT Shops at Rossmoor, an affiliate of AEW Capital Management, L.P. (AEW).

AEW acquired the property on behalf of one of its commingled investment funds. The transition to new ownership should be seamless as AEW intends to hold the asset long term and plans to maintain the integrity of the center and its place in the community. AEW will continue the redevelopment of the center and is committed to bringing desirable merchants to the mix at the Shops at Rossmoor.

In December AEW hired CBRE, Inc as the property management company for the center, which includes an on-site property manager and on-site staff. As the redevelopment efforts continue, The Shops will be adding a combo Toys R Us/ Babies R Us to the south end of the center near Kohl’s. The new retailer is scheduled to open in the fall of 2012.

The shopping center will also be welcoming In-N-Out Burger, which is scheduled to open in February 2012. In-N-Out will be located near the main entrance of the center between Chipotle and Marie Callender’s Grill. The build-out will include a restaurant for sit-down dining with an outdoor patio, as well as a drive thru.
