Traffic Hits New Record! & Why Subscribe?
First, a huge thanks for the support we have received from our readers. As the stats above indicate, our traffic hit an all time record last week - 16,743 visits! We generally expect our traffic to be between 11,000 and 13,000 visitors per week, but last week was exceptional. Internet traffic can fluctuate over a wide range and all our stats were up last week. Thanks again!
As we have previously written, we are expanding our coverage at OC180NEWS. Our goal is to provide our readers a one-stop daily news site created specifically for West Orange County - mainly Seal Beach, Rossmoor, and Los Alamitos.
This new version of OC180NEWS will be the only place on the web where readers can see on one clear, straight forward page, our exclusive OC180NEWS articles, plus our hand picked selection of the most important news articles from other sources. This new home page will have four sections with headlines and links to the five most recent articles in each section.
The four sections are OC180NEWS exclusive articles, current local and county news, current state news, and current national and world news. Thus, on one page readers will be able to see the most important news items from West OC, to the world. OC180NEWS will be the only place where readers will get a West OC perspective on each day's news, plus our exclusive articles.
In addition to our expanded news coverage, the new section will include automatic smart phone friendly presentations. This means the important daily news we publish at OC180NEWS will load faster and be easier to navigate on a mobile device.
The expanded coverage and smart phone friendly format will be subscriber supported. This means, like some other publishers, there will be a small monthly subscription fee to view these articles.
