The Citizens Redistricting Commission has released the first drafts of the new Congressional, State Senate and Assembly districts. Rossmoor is ok for now for the Senate and Assembly districts, but the first draft proposes moving Rossmoor and Los Alamitos from Ed Royce's Orange County Congressional District to Congresswoman Richardson's Long Beach district.

When Governor Brown vetoed the State of California budget yesterday, Sacramento legislators accomplished something obviously important to them � they protected their paychecks from being docked. Even though Governor Brown did not immediately say he would reject the spending plan, since it violated almost all of his budget principals, it certainly could not have surprised very many in the state capitol when he did.
